Nigeria’s Ezuruike smashes Paralympics record, wins gold
After a silver-winning feat by Nigeria’s Latifat Tijani in the women’s powerlifting event, another Nigerian has shattered the Paralympics record and has won gold for Nigeria.
Reports say Roland Ezuruike won the men’s 54kg event with a record breaking 190kg to hand Nigeria her first gold medal at the ongoing tournament in brazil
Nigeria’s Ezuruike has shattered the world record at the ongoing Paralymipcs and has set another.
This comes shortly after Latifat narrowly lost the gold medal in her 45kg event to China in what would have been another gold-winning feat for Team Nigeria.
The paralympians are expected to have a rush of medals in the powerlifting event as it remains Nigeria’s strongest point in the disabled tournament
